Got this myself on my phone, and also it simply rejected to update. Here's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook are aware of. It's a concern with the Facebook application, and also not a generalised Play Shop issue.

This is what benefited me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Services > Manage room, Clear all data as well as Clear cache


It does not injured if you restart your phone prior to you try updating facebook again. And also, the mount was SLOW. Just a minimum of 4-5 minutes. However, it did job. If not attempt to uninstall it, or simply await a fix.
