Facebook went offline for several users on Thursday, with the globe's most preferred social network informing individuals that "something went wrong".
When going to Facebook.com, as opposed to seeing the regular homescreen or news feed, customers were greeted with an empty display as well as a short mistake message.
" Sorry, something failed. We're servicing it and we'll get it repaired as soon as we can," the message reads.
The failure started at around 5.30 pm BST however, for a lot of users, appeared to have been settled around 20 mins after.

The website decreased on Thursday afternoon and brief-ly appeared to function once more for some customers.
