Got this myself on my phone, and also it just rejected to upgrade. Here's what benefited me.

Edit: this appears to be an issue that Facebook know. It's a concern with the Facebook application, as well as not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what benefited me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information as well as Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage room, Clear all data as well as Clear cache


It does not harmed if you restart your phone before you attempt updating facebook once more. And, the set up was SLOW. Just a minimum of 4-5 minutes. Yet, it did job. Otherwise try to uninstall it, or just wait on a fix.
