What is Wrong with Facebook
Facebook went offline for many customers on Thursday, with the world's most popular social media network telling users that "something failed".
When going to Facebook.com, as opposed to seeing the regular homescreen or information feed, users were welcomed with an empty screen and a short mistake message.
" Sorry, something went wrong. We're working with it and also we'll get it fixed as quickly as we can," the message reads.
The outage started at around 5.30 pm BST but, for many customers, showed up to have been resolved around 20 minutes after.
Down Detector, which collects reports of prominent solutions being down, presented blackouts in the UK, Europe and the United States.
Certainly, individuals took to Twitter to have their say.
The web site dropped on Thursday afternoon and brief-ly showed up to work again for some customers.
A spokesperson for Facebook has claimed they are looking into what took place.
Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook president, was at an event placed on by Oculus, the virtual reality headset firm Facebook owns.
